A few months ago in Breza, two local women, Zlata and Jadranka, found a puppy who had either fallen in or had been thrown down the hole. The puppy looked to be badly injured and couldn’t walk.
Zlata and Jadranka took the puppy to a Vetlife Veterinary Station. The vet there  examined her and took x-rays which showed that she had serious spinal injuries which included two broken and dislocated vertebras.
Both Zlata and Jadranka told me that the vet wouldn’t recommend surgery because the injury was “too complicated”. I found out later from other vets that if she had received immediate surgery she could be walking today.
Jadranka named the puppy Cookie. Because Cookie will never walk again Zlata and Jadranka contacted me and asked for help. I took her immediately to a pension where she got the veterinary care she needed and a warm kennel and food.
In addition to all Cookies problems, she has open sores on her legs because her legs still bother her and she bites at them constantly.
I am sad to say that Cookie’s hind leg had to be amputated.
As you can see, Cookie needs help to keep her safe. Sponsoring all or even a portion of Cookies pension cost will go a long way to keeping her happy and comfortable because she will not survive back on the street.
It costs 50 € a month to keep Cookie off the streets and safe. When you sponsor Cookie you have a number of options, you can:

1. give the suggested monthly amount of 50 €

2. give any monthly amount that fits your budget...and we will continue to look for additional sponsors to contribute

3. give a one-time gift...and we will continue to look for additional sponsors
