My father received a phone call from the employees of the coal mine in Breza.
They told him that a dog had been hit by car in front of the mine and that he couldn’t walk. Because it was hard for him to move the employees had been feeding him. They asked many people, including the mine management, to help the poor dog but no one wanted to give him the help he so desperately needed.

My father and I along with a vet travelled to the coal mine and found that the badly hurt dog had dragged himself into the bushes and looked to be very scared. We found a wire beside him. Although we didn’t know what the wire had been used for we thought that maybe it had been used to try and catch him.
We took him to the veterinary station immediately. The poor dog was exhausted, seriously dehydrated and both of his back legs were badly injured. The bones in his hind legs were dislocated from the joints. The dislocations were severe and extremely painful.
Although, many of his injuries have been treated he still has problems with his hip since it will take a long time for the joint to heal completely from the dislocation.
We named him Medo and he has been through so much pain and suffering already. We think Medo is about 5 years old.
We hope that Medo will recover fully but right now he needs someone who will sponsor him to keep him safe and healthy in pension until he can find his Forever Home.

It costs 50 € a month to keep Medo off the streets and safe. When you sponsor Medo you have a number of options, you can:

1. give the suggested monthly amount of 50 €

2. give any monthly amount that fits your budget...and we will continue to look for additional sponsors to contribute

3. give a one-time gift...and we will continue to look for additional sponsors
