Zucka was found cold and shivering in Ciglane, Sarajevo by a local girl named Sejla.  She obviously was in a lot of pain as the result of badly healed broken front leg.

Sejla called us and we looked for hours for a pension. We eventually found a pension which took Zucka.

Her badly broken leg was most likely the result of having been hit by a car. As Zucka was alone and had no care for her leg it healed badly deformed. Her leg was so badly deformed that she couldn’t walk and, sadly, it had to be amputated. She is recovering in a pension.

Although a few rescuers are able to find someone who will take in a rescued animal for a time, they are most likely only able to pay to feed the dog but not able to afford often-needed veterinary care.

Almost all rescued animals are kept in pensions where we must pay a monthly fee to keep these animals off the streets and safe.

I keep 43 dogs on my own property for free and raise funds only for the animals’ food and needed veterinary care. Since I don’t have more space the rest of the more than 40 rescued animals are kept in pensions.

It costs 120 € a month to keep Zucka off the streets and safe.
When you sponsor Zucka you have a number of options, you can:

1. give the suggested monthly amount of 120 €

2. give any monthly amount that fits your budget...and we will continue to look for additional sponsors to contribute

3. give a one-time gift...and we will continue to look for additional sponsors
